Duck Hunters 2 slot: the bomb climbs and the ceiling hits 40000x

Duck Hunters 2 keeps the joke of the original and raises the stakes. The grid is a reel wider and a row taller, the bomb now walks up its own reel and multiplies every position it passes, and the ceiling sits above the first game. RTP 96.00%, high volatility, 40000x at the top, which the studio itself puts at one spin in 88 million. Six upgrades, a buy menu that runs from 3 bets to 4000, and a free run that only starts once you are inside the casino.

A bomb that climbs its own reel

Wins are counted by quantity: eight or more identical symbols anywhere on the 6x6 grid, no lines involved. Winning symbols leave, the grid refills, and each emptied position holds a multiplier that grows with every new win landing on it, up to x16384 on one position. The four hunters and their dog are the expensive symbols; the cans and crossbows are there to fill space until a multiplier is worth something.

Some spins open with random multipliers already sitting on the grid before a single symbol has dropped.

  • xWays: turns into an ordinary symbol and multiplies its own position by 2, 4 or 8.
  • Infectious xWays: every copy of that symbol on the grid opens to the same size.
  • Bomb: fires when no winning combination is left, wipes itself and everything above it on its reel, then sets x2 on its own position, x4 one row up, x8 on the next, and so on to the top.
  • Bonus scatter: three, four or five of them, and the count decides how many upgrades the round is dealt.
  • Side Hustle: an optional side bet that raises the price of the spin, with picks that run from the hunter flying off the reels to the maximum multiplier.

The first time a bomb went off two rows from the top I watched four positions double in a single frame, and the whole design of the sequel made sense at once. The original blows up a square around itself. This one sends the blast upward, so the cells that already carry value get hit again.

Three hunts and a pool of six upgrades

The scatter count sets the rank of the round: three scatters give 7 Duck Hunt Spins with 1 upgrade, four give 8 Hawk Eye Spins with 2, five give 10 Big Game Spins with 3. The multipliers on the positions stay for the whole round, so a bonus that starts slowly can still finish well. The upgrades are drawn from a pool of six, and they change what the round is worth far more than the number of spins does.

The 40000x ceiling belongs to Big Game Spins with the bomb upgrade running, when the blast keeps climbing over positions it has already lifted twice. The base game shows the same picture in miniature, which is the only reason it holds attention between bonuses.

The buy menu is the real boss fight

Nolimit City sells entries the way a shop sells ladders, and the prices tell you exactly how the math is shaped. Honestly, the two juicers are the part that annoys me: they are priced for a bankroll that most players do not bring, and they sit in the same menu as the 3 bet button. A bet here runs 0.20-100 EUR, so the 2800 bet Bomb Juicer is a three-figure spin even at the minimum.

  • Bonus Booster, 3 bets: a bonus symbol on the second reel is guaranteed.
  • Bonus Hunt, 30 bets: a bonus symbol on the first drop and on every avalanche after it.
  • Day 8 Spins, 10 bets: every position starts at x8.
  • Day 64 Spins, 90 bets: every position starts at x64.
  • Day 512 Spins, 800 bets: every position starts at x512.
  • Day 2048 Spins, 4000 bets: every position starts at x2048.
  • xWays Juicer, 500 bets: 7 spins, each with a guaranteed Infectious xWays.
  • Bomb Juicer, 2800 bets: 7 spins, each with a guaranteed upgraded bomb.

The trap in that list is the ladder itself. After a dry stretch the 3 bet booster feels cheap, the 30 bet hunt feels reasonable, and by the time the 90 bet button looks sensible you have already spent more than the session you planned. The bet size is where the discipline lives: pick it before the first spin, and leave it alone until you close the tab.

RTP 96.00%, and a top win once in 88 million spins

RTP 96.00% is the long-distance return, and the studio publishes the rest of the profile next to it: 17.68% of spins pay something, free spins arrive about once in 203 spins, and the 40000x ceiling has a stated probability of one in 88 million. That last figure is worth reading twice before you treat the ceiling as a plan. Volatility is rated high, which here means the balance moves in one direction for a long time and then jumps.

If you have played the original you know the temperament already, and the sequel is the same character with a louder voice. If this is your first game from the studio, the honest profile is this: four spins out of five give nothing back, the round you are waiting for shows up about once in two hundred spins, and the money sits in the tail. Someone who fixed the evening's number before opening the tab will get on fine here.

Someone buying time at the reels on a short balance will run out before the story starts.

Duck Hunters 2 demo: what opens for free and what waits for login

Nolimit City keeps its games off public launchers, so the frame above carries a plain notice: there is nothing here to load.

Inside the casino the free mode is there, behind the login: look for the Hot label in the Hit tab, and the cover it marks opens in demo. The math is the same in both modes, the same upgrades and the same buy prices, so a free session answers the one question worth answering first: how long the dry stretches actually run.

On real money the welcome bonus wagers x35 and only in slots, which formally covers this game. There is a second rule that matters more on a slot with a ceiling this high: a payout from bonus money is capped at ten times the bonus, and that cap fires long before anything close to 40000x is on the screen.

My own order is simple: close the wagering on something calmer, then come back here with the main balance. The details are on the bonuses page, and the reviews of the rest of the tab are in the Hit tab.

Worth knowing. There is a second ceiling above the bonus cap: a win from bonus money over 5,000 USD may be paid out in parts, up to 5,000 USD in any seven days. On a game built around one enormous round, that rule decides how the money actually reaches your wallet.

Original, sequel, or the one with the thunder

The first Duck Hunters is the game to start with if the mechanics are new to you: a smaller grid, fewer symbols moving at once, a lower ceiling. Epic Ze Zeus from Hacksaw Gaming goes for a comparable scale of top win with a base game that hands out more along the way. Every game this studio ships carries the same temperament, so a calmer evening means a calmer provider.

GameWhat it gives youWhen to open it
Duck Hunters 2taller grid, climbing bombs, six upgradeswhen the first game has stopped surprising you
Duck Huntersthe same idea on a smaller gridwhen you are learning what xWays does
Epic Ze Zeusa big ceiling with a busier base gamewhen silence between bonuses gets old

Is the extra reel worth it?

  • What works
  • The climbing bomb does something the original cannot: it stacks value where value already sits, and you can watch it happen.
  • Six upgrades make two rounds of the same rank play differently, which is rare in a bonus this structured.
  • Every figure on this page comes off the game sheet the studio publishes, including the odds on the ceiling.
  • What to keep in mind
  • RTP 96.00% sits a shade under the first game while the risk goes up: you pay for the taller grid.
  • Side Hustle quietly raises the price of every spin, and the passport above does not show what it costs.
  • The grid is busier: with this many symbols moving at once, it takes a few sessions before you can read a round at a glance.

Take it if the original already taught you the rhythm and you want the version with more room. Skip it if you are counting spins on a short balance, because this grid eats them faster. I still open the first game more often. The sequel is the better machine; the original is the one I like, and those are two different sentences.
