Joker's Jewels slot: five lines, no bonus, still in the Hit tab

The Joker's Jewels slot is Pragmatic Play's simplest game, a 5x3 grid with five fixed lines: no wilds, no scatters, no free spins. Just a paytable steep enough that a screen of jesters pays the 1040x top prize. RTP 96.50%.

A game with nothing to explain

The symbols are the jester, his hat, a lyre, jewels and the usual card values; the jester pays the most. Wins are five matching symbols on a line, three at minimum, and the lines are fixed. That is the entire rulebook. There is no wild to substitute and no scatter to trigger anything, and the studio has never added them in the years since release: the game sells on being the slot you can explain to someone in one sentence.

Why the paytable matters more than usual

With no bonus round, the whole return is in the line pays, so the top of the paytable is steep. Five jesters pay the maximum of 1040x, five of the next symbol pays a fraction of that, and the card values pay back a little more than the bet. The RTP of 96.50% is average for the tab; the volatility feels moderate because dead spins are common but the mid-range wins arrive regularly. The game is at its best at a bet that lets a jester screen matter without making the dead spins hurt.

Who it is for

Players who find the cluster grids and multiplier orbs of Gates of Olympus 1000 tiring. Players clearing wagering who want a steady, predictable spin. And, honestly, players who like the sound design: the jester's laugh on a win is one of the studio's most recognisable effects. For the same simplicity with a fruit theme, Hot to Burn from the same studio is next in line.

Demo and Vavada

The demo above is Pragmatic Play's own launcher with the real maths. At Vavada the game is in the Hit tab, and because it is a slot it counts towards bonus wagering; the rules are on the bonuses page.
